Frequently Asked Questions
It's normal to have questions about hair colour, especially with something new and natural.
Chemical colouring opens the hair cuticle (the tough outer coating of the hair made up of overlapping scales), then penetrates inside the hair, thus modifying its natural structure. This is why we often find that hair becomes porous when treated with chemical colour. On the other hand, plant based colour doesn’t modify the hair at all, it only coats the hair. It brings colour to the hair along with protection and shine. In addition, the natural structure of the hair is never altered.

No, it’s not possible to lighten the hair with plant based colour. This is due to the fact that plant based colour doesn’t actually penetrate the hair, it merely coats the follicles and there is no chemical reaction on your hair. The plant based colour gives a sheen to your hair. You will also notice a reduction in hair loss and /or quicker hair regrowth.

Plant based colour holds as well as chemical colouring. In fact, plant based colour ages much better over time. The hair doesn’t have a “straw-like” or dull appearance as there is no chemical reaction. Hair remains more shiny. In addition, plant based colour doesn’t have the root effect that is found with chemical hair colouring.

There’s nothing against using plant based hair colour while pregnant. However, the Medical body strongly advises against using chemical hair colours during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
